Privacy Policy

Raha Sleep is a trading name of Joe Kaprielian, a sole trader based in Lebanon. Joe Kaprielian is the "controller" of your personal information, which means we decide how and why it's used. Contact us at support@rahasleep.com or P.O. Box 1233, Mazaraat Yachouh, Lebanon.

What we collect

• Your first name and email address.
• Your quiz answers, for example how you sleep and what makes evenings harder.
• Your daily check-ins: last night's sleep, today's mood, anything weighing on you, and an optional private note.
• Your time zone, your bedtime and reminder settings, and which sessions you've played and when.
• Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and cookie identifiers, used for security and, if you agree, to measure our ads.
• Payment details are collected by Paddle, not us. We never see or store your card number. Paddle tells us your name, email, country, what you bought and your subscription status.

Sleep and mood information

Your quiz answers and check-ins can say something about your wellbeing, so we treat them as sensitive (health) information. We only collect them with your explicit consent, which you give with the tick box on the quiz. We use them only to personalise your sessions and show you your own sleep trends inside Raha Sleep. We never use them for advertising and never share them with advertisers. You can withdraw your consent anytime by emailing us. We'll then stop using those answers and delete them, though your sessions will become less personal. Withdrawing doesn't cancel your plan; cancelling is separate.

This is the standard we apply wherever you live. It also meets the rules for sensitive personal data under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law, which both require your explicit consent for this kind of information.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

Who we share it with

These service providers act only on our instructions: Fish Audio (voice: your first name only, to record your greeting), Neon (database), Railway (hosting) and Resend (email).

These organisations make their own decisions about the data they receive: Paddle is our reseller and Merchant of Record, and processes your payment and order data as an independent controller under its own privacy notice at paddle.com/legal/privacy. Meta: if you accept advertising cookies, Meta receives the ad-measurement data above. Meta is jointly responsible with us for collecting it, and uses it under its own policy at facebook.com/privacy/policy.

We may also share information with professional advisers or authorities when the law requires it. We never sell or rent your personal information.

Advertising and cookies

We use a small number of cookies the site needs to work, such as remembering your sleep room on your device. With your permission (via our cookie banner) we also use the Meta Pixel and Conversions API to see whether our ads lead to sign-ups and purchases. These send standard signals such as "a visit, sign-up or purchase happened", with a one-way hashed email. They never include your quiz answers, check-ins or anything about your sleep, mood or habits. You can change your choice anytime from "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.

International transfers

We're based in Lebanon, and our providers store or process data in the United States, the UK and the EU. When your information leaves the UK or EU, we rely on adequacy regulations (including the UK-US Data Bridge and EU-US Data Privacy Framework where a provider is certified), or on the standard contractual clauses or UK International Data Transfer Addendum in our providers' data processing terms. If you live in the UAE, Saudi Arabia or elsewhere in the Gulf, your information is also stored outside your country, with these providers. We transfer it only to providers bound by data protection terms with appropriate safeguards, only as needed to run Raha Sleep, and, where your local law asks for it, on the basis of your consent. Email us for a copy of the relevant safeguards.

How long we keep it

• Account, check-ins and play history: while your plan is active and for up to 12 months after you cancel, so you can come back.
• Personal introductions (audio): deleted after 14 days.
• Quiz answers from people who don't start a plan: up to 90 days.
• Order records: as long as tax and accounting law requires (Paddle holds most of these).

Ask us anytime and we'll delete your data sooner, unless we have to keep something by law.

Keeping it safe

Your data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to the person running Raha Sleep, and our providers use industry-standard security. Your sleep room link is private. Treat it like a password.

Your rights

You can ask us to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, give you a portable copy, stop using it based on legitimate interests, or withdraw any consent you've given (without affecting what we did before). Email support@rahasleep.com. We'll reply within one month.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please email us first at support@rahasleep.com with "Privacy complaint" in the subject. We'll acknowledge it within 30 days and tell you the outcome. You can also complain to your data protection authority: in the UAE, the UAE Data Office; in Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA); in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk); in the EU, your local authority.

Age

Raha Sleep is for adults 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect children's data.

Changes

If we make important changes, we'll email you before they take effect.
